The Texans continue to be a very strange organization, even after the firing of Bill O'Brien and his knack for questionable decision making. On Wednesday it was reported that the team had fired their VP of Communications Amy Palcic for no longer being "a cultural fit."
Texans fired VP of Communications Amy Palcic, telling her she no longer was "a cultural fit", per sources. Palcic was the first and only woman to have full PR responsibilities for an NFL team. She was the winner of the 2017 Rozelle Award for best PR staff. She is widely respected

Judging from the reactions of those who cover the sport and know Amy, the move was not an expected one.

Every time I've worked with Amy, she is prompt, professional and puts team first. Her group engineered one of the most viral moments of the season when Deshaun Watson's family surprised him virtually. Any other team would be fortunate to have her on a roster. https://t.co/meyWqe9DaT

Some on Twitter think the move might be politically motivated.
$5 says politics played a role. Too many extremists these days. Hope all is well with you and your sir!

Did politics play a role? It's certainly a possibility given the fact that everyone has lost their damn minds.
You know what they say, "go full shit show or go home."
Nobody really says that, but that seems to be how the Texans are running things since owner Bob McNair died.
