Rocky the Mountain Lion has been revealed as the mascot who gets paid the most in the NBA, coming in at 625,000 dollars a year, which may seem insane to most people since the mascot could be played by basically anyone willing to get into the costume and act a fool, meaning you could hire a dozen high school kids and pay them in hot dogs and soft drinks or even tickets to the games on their off days, but instead Rocky the Mountain Lion is special!

He get paid 10 times the average salary of other mascots, who come in around 60k per year, a far more reasonable amount, but maybe Rocky the Mountain Lion is the KEY to the teams success with his dancing in the crowd!

Ken Soloman is the only known person to play the character, who was introduced in 1990 when the tam was struggling and I guess the team owners felt he was clutch in getting people into the stands!

Other high paid mascots are Harry the Hawk at 600k and Benny the Bill at 400k but the actual top mascot in last season was Chuck the Condor for the Clippers who made over a million dollars!

The internet is mad because the average WNBA star makes 100k per year, but I don't see how that's relevant, since they aren't in costumes performing for actual crowds, you know, since they are in the WNBA, but anything to bring the feminist agenda and politics to the top of a fun Mascot story!

If they are mad, maybe they should audition to be a team mascot!

Here's Rocky in action, getting paid:

I mean DUDE deserves to get paid!
