“The World’s Sexiest Athlete” Alica Schmidt Will Not Run in the Olympics

"The World’s Sexiest Athlete" Alica Schmidt made the trip to Tokyo to compete in the Olympics.  Or so the German runner thought.  She revealed on Thursday that after an in practice race simulation she had not secured her spot for the prelims.

In the message that Alica posted on social media explaining why she would not be running in the prelims, she also thanked her supporters and was thankful for her time in Tokyo.

Haters are going to hate.  Even if she was brought there to help promote the Olympics with her following and her looks, as some are suggesting, that's not her fault.

And judging from the fact that she's making headlines from Tokyo the tactic worked.
