Longtime Cincinnati Reds broadcaster Thom Brennaman was heard saying "fag capitals of the world" on a hot mic prior to the second game of a doubleheader against the Kansas City Royals.

As bad as that moment was, things got even more bizarre when Brennaman attempted to issue an apology during the 5th inning.

In the middle of the apology rightfielder Nicholas Castellanos hit a home run.  Brennaman interrupted his apology for dropping a homophopic slur to call the homer.

He then handed the broadcast over to someone else.  What a fucking crazy sports moment.

Only in 2020 does this happen.  It's hands down one of the most bizarre moments you will ever see during a baseball game or any game in any sport for that matter.

I don't remember ever seeing a guy get caught on a hot mic, get pulled in the middle of a game, and as he's getting pulled, have his apology interrupted.

It's safe to say he just flushed 27 years down the toilet.
