A trial date has been set for the man who sucker-punched Eagles tight end Dallas Goedert at a South Dakota bar over the summer.  Kyle Hadala, who was charged with simple assault, faces jail time if he's convicted.

From TMZ Sports:

Goedert -- who was hospitalized for injuries sustained during the incident -- was neither arrested nor charged with a crime.

In fact, he healed up in time for the NFL season ... only to suffer a broken ankle in Week 3 and hit injured reserve. Tough year.

So here's what's next ... a pre-trial hearing for Hadala is set for Nov. 2 -- where prosecutors will likely try to hammer out a plea deal.

If no deal is made, a trial date has been set for Nov. 18.

I said it then and I'm going to say it again, fuck this guy.  Even if he was defending his friends from Goedert.

You want to fight a guy then square up with him like a man.  Otherwise keep your hands to yourself.

Sucker-punchers are some of the worst people on the fucking planet.
