US Sprinter Sha’Carri Richardson Explains Her Failed Drug Test

US sprinter Sha'Carri Richardson, who is an absolute superstar in the making, was given a one-month ban for testing positive for marijuana at the US trials. Her Olympic qualifying results at the trials have now been disqualified and she forfeits any medals, points, and prizes.

Sha'Carri owned up to using marijuana to help deal with the death of her mother. She went on the Today Show to discuss her positive test.

This absolutely sucks. The news couldn't have come at worse time. We're heading into the July 4th weekend and a failed marijuana test is taking down one of the United States' star.
