Fox Sports Joy Taylor as Velma!

In recent months, the internet got mad that Mindy Kaling was playing a lesbian Velma from the classic Scooby Doo, so it only makes sense that the classic character would re-surface as a popular Halloween costume.

Sure, it's been a popular Halloween costume since the 60s, everyone loves those mystery solving Scooby Doo characters, but thanks to re-surfacing and being top of mind, it's back.

I wouldn't say Velma is the Scooby Doo babe you really would have a thing for, if having a thing for comic characters was your thing due to loneliness and social awkwardness.

I would say "sexy" Velma is a thing, because they take the unsexy character and give her that makeover like a 90s teen movie does to the nerd they turn hot.

Joy Taylor of Fox Sports did just that and the internet appreciates it.

I think people were just happy to see it wasn't Eli Manning in costume over on ESPN where he channeled his "viral" character Chad Powers in a mask that was terrifying.
