Jerry Jones was asked during his weekly interview with 105.3 The FAN if he thought former Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo was a Hall of Famer.

Jerry being Jerry not only thinks Romo is a Hall of Famer, he thinks the former Cowboys star is a first-ballot Hall of Famer.

"There's no question in my mind that Tony is at a skilled level.  He had accomplishments, statistically, that were there.  The fact that we did not have a Super Bowl during that time is gonna always be the end of the conversation as to where Tony Romo will rank, where he's acknowledged.  You’re talking to a guy that he would be a first-round ballot with me, and I don’t apologize for that."

Listen to Jerry talk about Romo being a Hall of Famer around the 9:30 mark:

There's definitely an argument to be made for Romo being a Hall of Famer.  I'm not opposed to him being selected one day, even if he was a member of the Cowboys.

A first ballot Hall of Famer might be a bit of a stretch, but what do you expect from Jerry Jones?  It would be more surprising if he said he didn't think Romo was hall worthy.
